On editing and arranging works
An arrangement is a change in music. This applies to both lyrics (e.g. a translation) and composition (e.g. an arrangement). Arrangers also need permission from the publisher to create an arrangement of existing works.
Do you want to edit/arrange a work?
- First check whether Small Stone Media represents the publisher whose work you want to arrange. If in doubt, please contact us.
- In order to grant permission, we require the following information: The title of the work, copyright details, possibly a link to the original recording.
- In your request, please also state how and where the processing will be used.
- E-mail your request to: [email protected]
After you have received permission, you can start working. As soon as you have completed your editing/arrangement, please send it to us with the correct copyright information. A demo is not necessary but appreciated.
We will try to process your request as quickly as possible, but please allow 1-2 months for a response.
Note: For copyright reasons, it is not permitted to use an adaptation that has not first been approved by the publisher.
